The evaluation of the DomOS ontology by Dedalus project

We're thrilled to announce that the Dedalus project, a fellow EU-funded project, will evaluate the domOS final ontology and Web of Things!

Dedalus project aims to design, develop, and demonstrate SSH-Driven multi-value energy carrier-agnostic demand response ecosystem, tailored to optimize and manage automated demand response in residential buildings.

Dedalus project goal is to deploy a social, technological and business framework. It will combine leading-edge ICT technologies with social and behavioral dimensions, and with a sharing economy and value-stacking governance and business models.

Within Dedalus, a semantic common data model based on the available standards and ontologies will be created in order to represent all the data (and meta-data) from the entire Demand Response Chain. A comparison among the four ontologies, including domOS, will be done. The most proper one to be used as the core ontology within Dedalus will be selected.

Then, the selected data model/ontology will be made available to the rest of the developments in order to improve cross-domain interoperability, trying to link data points to applications and facilitate the reuse of both data and applications.

Thank you to the Dedalus project for considering the domOS final ontology!
